This country charged with history blends numerous influences into its folklore.
One of the most passionate techniques is the artisanale embroidery: The small figurative scenes full of invention and humor of the embroidery Otomi (A community in the state of Hidalgo, their colorful designs were inspired by the wall paintings which adorn their regions caves.)
These scenes of daily life and these fantastic animals inspired my design Allegra which which is teeming with details and recalls this compartmentalized embroidery.
There is also a great imagination in the flower motifs which offer attractive gradations and interesting forms, the fabric and borders Marisol pay them tribute as well as the elegant Cucaracha and Flowers of Mexico.
The weaving and the brightly colored geometric designs have given life to Stella and Ernesto which coordinate cheerfully with the other dsigns in this series. Chica brings tiny designs, simple to associate. Mexican cuisine is not left out: The fabric Pepita and Fuego with little chilis and pomegrantes bring spice to your creations!
As I often like to do, a “patchwork” panel gathers together all the themes of the collection: embroidery, Mexican dolls, ex-voto, burning hearts...
The Mexican Panel symbolizes this colorful folk spirit.
